Instructions for Reviewing Abstracts

After logging into the system, please select “Evaluate Abstract” from the left-hand menu. All abstracts assigned to you will be available for review.

Please evaluate each abstract independently, objectively, and confidentially.

When reviewing abstracts, we kindly ask you to consider the following principles:

  • Evaluate the scientific content only.
  • Judge each abstract on its own merits.
  • Minor grammatical or language issues should not substantially affect the scientific score if the content is understandable.
  • If you recognize an abstract for which you have a conflict of interest (e.g., collaborator, co-author, institutional colleague, or any situation that may compromise impartiality), please notify the Scientific Committee immediately so that the abstract may be reassigned.

Evaluation Criteria

Please score each abstract according to the criteria below and enter the total score into the online system.

There will not be a separate evaluation form. Reviewers are kindly asked to evaluate each abstract based on the following scoring criteria:

  • Originality, relevance, or importance of the study or presentation: 0–30 points
  • Scientific quality or quantity of the research method and presentation of data, programmatic description, or information provided: 0–30 points
  • Relevance to aerospace medicine: 0–20 points
  • General quality: 0–20 points

Maximum total score: 100 points

Finally, please indicate your recommendation:

  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation
  • Reject

Confidentiality

All submitted abstracts are confidential documents.

Please do not distribute, discuss, or use any information contained within the submitted abstracts before the Congress or subsequent publication.
